Emma joined fulfilmentcrowd with a background in retail, a field she adores due to her passion for people and customer interaction. Despite not having a technical background or a university degree, her dedication and natural leadership abilities have seen her progress to Head of Implementation. Emma now oversees the integration of all new business into fulfilmentcrowd, leading a dedicated team and ensuring seamless transitions for our clients.
What is Emma most proud of during her time at fulfilmentcrowd?
One of Emma's standout projects was with Bambino Mio, a highly complex European business integration that eventually expanded to the UK market. This challenging project involved numerous new integrations and compliance requirements, extensive travel, and seven months of intense work. Emma describes this as a highlight of her career, attributing its success to a collective team effort. She takes immense pride in every client relationship, particularly when clients remain with fulfilmentcrowd well beyond the initial implementation phase.
Thriving on challenges
When asked about what she enjoys most about her role, Emma mentions the fast-paced environment and the constant innovation. She thrives on the challenges that come her way and appreciates the supportive and collaborative nature of her team. Emma also values our company events for the chance to build connections with individuals she might not get to speak to on a daily basis. She also attributes a lot of her success to a great line manager who listens and values her input (we promise her line manager didn’t make us write this…).
Beyond the office
Emma isn’t just dedicated to her day job; she also plays a key role in organising social events, creating team engagement and camaraderie. Outside of the office, she balances her career with being a mum to two daughters, aged 20 and 16. Her love of travel, particularly city breaks, provides a wonderful way to recharge.
Emma’s home life is filled with joy, thanks to her beloved Dachshund, Hugo, who she describes as the ‘love of her life’ (we’re not so sure her husband would agree…). Her passion for music, especially Beyonce (whom she has seen live four times!), is well known among her colleagues. Emma's fun and energetic personality was evident when she rocked up to work in cowboy boots and even learned the "Single Ladies" dance routine for her hen do (fittingly, as her wedding was Beyonce-themed. She definitely put a ring on it).
Emma truly embodies the spirit of fulfilmentcrowd, blending professionalism with a vibrant personal life. Her journey and achievements reflect our ethos through and through - nurture great talent and invest heavily in your people. Because of this, we’re now fortunate to have her lead our implementation team.
